Wahoo! I made it back to Cartagena. Got off the bus and got a taxi back to the same hostel where all my stuff was. Checked in and saw Karst at the hostel! He had one more day before he flew to Bogota and then back home. I went across to the street to see if Media Luna had any extra rooms available. Right when I got in there some random kid grabbed me and said "Sean?", "Yea?". It was Jamie Gorman. Randomly shows up at the same hostel. I knew he was travelling around Central America and Colombia but this was random. He was coming directly from Carnival and hadn't slept for the past 2 days and looked like a mess. He went directly to bed and said we would catch up the next day.
The next day it was game on for me. Karst took off and I had lots of work to catch up on. For the next few days I became anti-social and posted up working.
Next stop Medellin!
That night I booked a bus to Medellin. The bus station from Cartagena was 45 minute taxi ride (no idea why they don't make a closer bus station)...but this is another story to ask me when I get home...interesting story.
